Sandy is an experienced Mental Health Clinician – Registered Social Worker who specializes in working with adults, youth, law enforcement, first responders, health care providers, and Indigenous communities across Canada. She brings a trauma, biopsychosocial, culturally informed lens to the plan of care and therapeutic interaction with clients. With over 20 years experience in the field Sandy understands the unique needs of people who are working and/or living under uncertain, precarious and life threatening/limiting situations. She draws from an eclectic approach to practice based on her client’s specific strengths and needs. Sandy has committed to working with Trillium Health Partners to engage members in their Annual Wellness Checks and provide psychoeducation support to new WRPS recruits and its members.
Nina is a Mental Health Clinician practicing as a Registered Social Worker, specializing in evidence-based treatment for first responders. She provides wellness checks, psychoeducational sessions, and individualized therapy for anxiety, depression, trauma, and addictions. With a diploma in Police Foundations, an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice and Law Studies, and frontline experience in security, at-risk youth group homes, and probation and parole, Nina offers a unique perspective and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by public safety personnel. She has extensive experience supporting first responders through WSIB and focuses on operational stress injuries, including post-traumatic stress disorder and substance use disorders. Nina’s diverse professional background enables her to bridge the worlds of law enforcement and clinical care, delivering meaningful, practical, and compassionate support to those who serve.
